One of the oldest universities in the U.S., the University of Delaware is the largest campus in the state of Delaware with over 23,000 students enrolled from all over the U.S. and internationally (about 1,400 international students and over 4,200 grad students). UD is known for its academic programs and research, attracting students who are often future leaders in their fields. Located in Newark, UD is near major metropolitan areas like Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, DC.

Chi Alpha is a recognized student organization at UD. The current directors are looking for someone to step into this director role and revitalize the ministry. They have been in ministry for overs 39 years (34 as global workers); they will be staying in the area and would be available to help as a team member, if so desired.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the effort to re-establish a vibrant campus ministry presence.

  • Exegeting the UD student culture and crafting a ministry structure.

  • Cultivating a discipleship culture amongst students and forming a student leadership team.

  • Recruiting and developing a staff team, with the help of the District Director.

  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the Penn-Del Network.

Qualifications

  • Completed a CMIT Program

  • Minimum: Certified-Level AG Credentials

  • Willingness to participate in Lead Director Training Program and/or Previous Director Experience
