Philadelphia is a highly strategic location for campus ministry because of its unique combination of demographics, educational density, and cultural influences. Home to over 80 colleges and universities, including large universities like UPenn, Temple University, Drexel University, and many community colleges, Philadelphia offers a dense, concentrated population of students from different cultural, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds. The hope is to establish a Chi Alpha presence throughout the city of Philadelphia.
The University of Pennsylvania is known for its global influence, diverse student body, and location in an urban setting facing real-world challenges. As an Ivy League, it attracts future leaders in business, medicine, law, and innovation, providing an opportunity to impact individuals who may later take on high-impact roles worldwide. Its proximity to other Philadelphia campuses enables collaboration and broader ministry outreach.
Chi Alpha is currently a registered student organization through the Office of the Chaplain at UPenn with a weekly small group.

Responsibilities will include:
Leading the effort to re-establish a vibrant campus ministry presence at UPenn.
Exegeting UPenn student culture and crafting an appropriate ministry structure.
Cultivating a discipleship culture amongst students and forming a student leadership team.
Recruiting and developing a staff team, with the help of the District Director.
Maintaining strong relationships with the Penn-Del AG Network.
Establishing a Chi Alpha presence throughout Philadelphia
Qualifications
Completed a CMIT Program
Minimum: Certified-Level AG Credentials
Willingness to participate in Lead Director Training Program and/or Previous Director Experience
Willingness to live in an urban setting and to learn how to serve students at an elite institution
